Violin one of 24

23″ H x 19″ W x 8″ D

My thoughts on the creation of the violin stems from the love of hearing the violin play. The lines are very sensual, as is the music it creates. I created this piece portraying my wife playing it capturing her beauty, as well as, the violins.

Xanthus

31″ H x 25″ W x 33″ D

My thoughts on the creation of Xanthus came from the story of Achilles’ two famous horses. Xanthus and Balius were the two immortal horses that Poseidon gave to Peleus as a wedding present. The horses were the offspring of Zephyrus, the west wind, (or Zeus) and the Harpy Podarge. They served as chariot horses for Achilles during the Trojan War.

42

?” H x ?” W x ?” D

My thoughts on creating 42 stemmed from Revelations 13:4-5; “The end time beast power will be so powerful that no one will be able to make war with him. He will speak great boastful things and be given the authority to do so for 42 months.” This piece shows the reflection of the fallen angel bowing his head in shame before the Lord and asking his forgiveness by offering back mankind and his treasures.

Tenez

24″ H x 11″ W x 10″ D

My thoughts on creating Tenez was to tell the story of the origins of the game, tennis. It is believed that it originated in the monastic cloisters (French monks) in France where it quickly became popular with royalty. When returning a ball over the net, the French players shouted, “Tenez,” which roughly translated, means, “Take that!” The English did the same, only “tenez” became “tennis.”

O

20″ H x 12″ W x 10″ D

My thoughts on the mesmerizing art of aerialists. My wife and I frequently attend Cirque du Soleil acts and enjoy all aspects of the artist within these shows. I have always been drawn to the incredible strength and beauty in those who perform these acts in the air above us.

Gaia of the Earth

10″ H x 6″ W x 6″ D

My thoughts on Gaia Of the Earth. Many of my creations incorporate wood within the sculpture. With this piece I wanted to have the element of the wood as part of the body that is encased in silverware.

Divine

40″ H x 10″ W x 10″ D

My thoughts on my protector and our veiled deity, the exchange of strength between mortal man and his guardian angel. We all hear about the strength our angels give to us in our time of need, but I believe that they need us just as much as we need them.
